As a cop, I must admit I get pulled over about once a year. The most recent time was when I was racing home to tend to a very sick dog with bloat. Local sheriff deputy pulled me over for going 35 in a 25 at 4am. I didn't tell him I was law enforcement as I like to see how other officers handle themselves.... this guy did poorly. Very condescending and acted as if I saw him and tried to correct my driving in an attempt to escape detection.

Pulled me over in my driveway and the wife and dying dog looked on from the front doorway. Deputy gave me a warning but closed with. "Slow down, its a bit ridiculous" I couldn't help myself and replied with a sarcastic "OK, thanks"

Oh to be a county deputy instead of a big city cop. To me, killing someone over disrespecting them, any acts against children and doing thousands of dollar in property damage just to make a few bucks is ridiculous. In the end I was able to get the dog to the ER vet in time to save his life but if I had waited just an hour longer he would have been dead. Total cost for an ER operation for a dog with bloat.....$3200
Oddly enough I don't get pulled over in the county I work, must be because my address in the county computer system is the address for the police department.
