 Post subject: Help? Blew a hose on my first trip since ownership.

Well first trip in the card and blew a intercooler hose! Anyone in Tuscaloosa al got an extra hose or does anyone know a quick fix to get me home on Sunday?

Duct tape or black electrical tape to temporarily fix a ripped hose. I prefer electrical tape. Make sure to clean the oil off the outside so that the tape sticks good.

It is possible that the hose popped off (no damage). In that case, just loosen the clamp, re-install, and tighten clamp.

It ripped. Lucky its by the fuse block on the driver side but still not easy to get to. Noticed it after my mpg went from 30 to 20! I'll try to get it cleaned and wrapped. Thanks for the help!

When my hose burst it was too oily for tape to stick to it. I cut it across at the point of the split, inserted a piece of pvc and put two hose clamps on it until my samcos arrived.
