I feel so left out!!!

You all have so many projects going on - Chris and his new(er) KJ with new wheels and interior. Corey's new trailer, Mudd's light brackets on the RL bumper, John's axle swap to 4.10's from a 4 cylinder donor. Yikes - ya'll have been busy!

Getting back into the swing of things around here and getting anxious to work on the Jeep. Don't shun me for my lack of participation!

I know what u mean Bob. Maybe this spring /summer I can get going on some of my projects. With this mandatory 7 day a week schedule at work right now, it's hard to get anything done as far as projects go. I only live a half mile from Tom and have only seen him for 15 minutes, a couple times, almost all winter.

Chris, KJ is looking good! You're a solid #2 !
By the way, it's official.
Toledo, Ohio had the worst winter weather in the nation this year! Over 80" of snow, most record low temperatures set, most calamity school days among others!

Glad it's almost over!!!!!!

I have not been on the forum for a wile or have not done anything to the jeeps just been doing sound engineering for some concerts at my church.

My setup is the full Behringer X32 at FOH and if there are any other sound techs on the forum that say that behringer stuff is total crap, look at it this way it is a Midas mixer with Klark Teknik processing and the Behringer name on it

amps are 2 Crown XTI 2 4002's for subs and Mids
2 Crown XLS 1000's for highs and 2 monitors
1 Mackie 808S for 2 monitors

crossover is a DBX Driverack PA2

speakers are subs B-52 LX-18EV3
mids are a set of dual house brand 15's
highs EV ZLX-12's

monitors are 4 JBL MRX500's
Image

Image
the computer on top of the amp case is winXP pro for band manager 2.0 to control the XTI 2 amps

Image

Image

the computer on the right is running the Driverack PA2 software over wifi from an second gen apple airport extreme

My Jr. sound Tech Zoey

Image

the setup for the next day was for a dinner at the church Sunday night.

At some point the the mids will be replaced with something I just don't know what yet.
Also will be adding at some point a set of small center fills for in front of the stage at full range, because if you are at front and center the mids and high's are a bit muffled, was thinking a set of 10's running the M/C bus on the X23.

This past Thursday we hosted a concert for the Band "The Afters" and Kyle Sherman

this was my this was the stage setup

That is going to be one high drummer

Image

Mmmmm perrrrrrty lights

The Afters sound check

so if anyone needs a good sound tech let me know

Nice Teckman!

Excellent setup - you're right about the Behringer setup you used. Definitely clean stuff - and the Crowns that you chose to drive everything are sweet! Do you have challenges controlling slapback from the hard surfaces?

The Afters are a great band - cool that your church was able to score a concert with them!

PS - Way to go getting the little guy started on the main desk at such a young age 8)

i get very little slapback the floor is carpeted and so is the walls up a little ways up the walls and the celling is padded... I get a very clean mix with that rig i was reading 103.6 Db SPL at the mixer. if the church picked up the tab i could have gotten a 8 piece powered meyer line array with subs for about 1400 bucks to rent the speakers that i would have gotten are about 8000 each

the afters were fun to work with i think that it is June 9th that we are having Bluetree, Lights of Day and another band play.

yep that is my Zoey she loves the x32

once i have sound sounding the way that i want to i am going to start doing video with a 4 camera live switch just need to decide if i want to go HD or SD cameras.... if i go SD all i will need to buy 3 cams since i already own a JVC DV-5000U 3 chip camera. the other 3 i would more than likely go with canon XL1's it is a good camera easy to use 3 chip CCD and i can pick them up on on ebay used for about 500 bucks each. now what do i use for video switching i am looking at a panasonic wj-mx50.

John here ya go!
Take one bent/broken/crashed front bumper from Larrys XJ
Cut it up into tiny pieces
shape it some and then mount the 700FFs on top of the bracket and the Hella Fogs in the middle .
and what do you end up? A few hours wasted is what................
V-1 shown, V-2 more narrow , overall ???

Ran down the road this evening to the ATV Trail parking area , scared a couple of guys out of there with all the lights on.
Couldn't see what they were doing though since my glasses are broken.......wait maybe I shouldn't of been driving anyways since I couldn't see  :pepper:

I finally broke down and shot off an email describing my saga with the gear job. I sent it to their corporate office in Compton, CA. I really didn't expect much to happen but I was pleasantly surprised by a phone call from the manager of the store that did the work originally. It appears that their national reputation really means something to them because they're ordering all of the parts to do the job so that they're available in case the gears are bad then they'll just replace them while I wait. :D
Now maybe I'll get that good feeling while driving down the road instead of second guessing my choice of shops. The guy said he'd do a deal on tires also :pepper:
