I was curious if any mods had to be made to make the hidden hitch work and or if anyone has some pics of one?

Here's a link to one on a 05 CRD. I just put a 2 piece HH on my 03 and it was the same except for not having to cut a hole in the bumper for the hitch to poke through. A telescoping magnet to get the third bolt in on each side is your friend.

Cool man, thanks for the link but I think they disscontinued the 2 piece hitch?? I think its now a #5024 and was curious if I have to trim that much of the bumber to make the single piece work?

No problem. The only part you should have to trim would be where the hitch extends past the bumper. Once piece or two it seems like it'd stick out the same amount.

Trust me I looked all over the net and couldnt find a 1 piece. Heather over at www.boulderbars.com said she spent 3+ hours on the net looking for some a few months back and she said she got the last 9 in the country. I have the model 5024. Oh and as far as the bumper is concerned. it is like 4 bolts. take off the grill, there is one by each headlight. take out the turn signals and there are two bolts underneath the bumper by the valance and take out the lower 3 plastic rivets on the fendel liners an it is off.

Oh there are listings, and I know where they are as well. but they are no longer being manufactured for the KJ. it might be on the website, but when you call them they say it is no longer in thier inventory. I did the same thing last month.

Also check out www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic. ... s&start=75
its a long thread and
talks a bit about the hitches etc..

Yea I called them too. they dont carry it any more.

Front Hitch from Draw-Tite was #65042 now Reese 13542
Rear Hitch Draw-Tite #75128, Reese 37053

Some places may still have the Draw-tite front hitches in stock and on sale since they are not making them anymore. Either way Draw-Tite and Reese are the same company.

Quoted from another thread:

And, yep, the 05s and 06s are the same in the front. My Reese front hitch was part #R13542 from hitchfinder.com (aka draw-tite.com). After talking with AllJeep and a couple other guys here on the forum, I decided to buy the thing since it was only a bit over $100 and the Mopar tow hooks are near $100. No brainer. I went online and picked the part, ordered, gave them my CC info and closed the sale with a nice printed receipt. They sent me an email the next day and said, "There's a problem with your order. We don't have it and they don't make it any more." I called them up and the CSR told me the same thing that the email said. I asked what they could do about it and she put me on hold. She same bacj a few minutes later and said, "We found one. It's in California though, so it'll take longer." I asked if was the same on I ordered (with the tow loops) and she said "yes" so I told her I didn't care how long it took to get to me.

Hitchfinder.com changed their website within an hour of my phone call. It now states that there are no front-mount hitch receivers available for the KJ. I think I got the last one.

AllJs (bouderbars.com) has a couple of them left though. I would suggest ordering one if you ever think you might want one. I don't know if anyone will ever make it again.
