how many miles per day week or month go on your jeep?

a guy at the dealership today in the service area told me how nice my KK looked. He was there with his 11 wrangler getting a service done. he told me he had a 09 with an OME lift but traded it in due to how many issues he had with it since he bought it new in 09 till he traded it in in 11. It got me thinking maybe my 50 to 70 mile a day commute might make my liberty too much to handle on the reliability side. How many miles a day do you commute and what are your thoughts? Any reliability issues with your jeeps as you get more miles on your rigs?

I probably put less than 50 miles on mine a week. It's a 2003 with 102,000 miles on it. I try not to put miles on it just for that reason. It is a jeep it will break, and I need it to last a few more years. Until I buy my next jeep. :lol:

I commute 60ish miles a day to and from work, not to mention lunch and errands.I have about 62k miles and the only non offroading related issues I've had is the radiator fan going out twice. The second time it went out it literally caught on fire. Besides that though, my Jeep is running like a top.

I hardly drive mine. It's just a toy. I do trail ride with my jeep club though.

I recently have been putting almost 1,200 miles/month on my CRD. Daily commute is a bit over 20 miles, each way, mostly freeway. That and occasional road trips from VA to ME or MO. I do get around 25 mpg commuting and over 30 on the highway, so why not?

We bought the KJ new. It's 7 years old with 45,000 miles. That's averaging about 6,400 miles yearly (533 miles monthly).

We bought the XJ used. It's 14 years old with 189,000 miles. I drive it daily to keep the miles off the KJ.

We bought the Ram new. It's 8 years old with 105,000 miles. That's averaging about 13,000 miles yearly (1,100 miles monthly).

All three are paid off, so it's just a balancing act to keep them in good working order, maintained, and reliable. The real cost savings is knowing that I'm not making a monthly payment. A typical vehicle payment for us would be $500 per month.

$500 monthly X 12 months = $6,000 dollars yearly
$6,000 annually X 5 years = $30,000 dollars every 5 years
$6,000 annually X 10 years = $60,000 dollars every 10 years
$6,000 annually X 15 years = $90,000 dollars every 15 years

Keeping your vehicle(s) is a HUGE cost savings!

My 04 I bought new, now has 202,000 and still my DD
It's had an easy life since for over 10 years I worked from home so no daily commute to an office. Now I still work from home but do have to go into the office a couple of times a week which is 7 miles away.
But I buy them to drive not to sit and collect dust , worst thing you can do to a vehicle is letting it sit

I'm doing 200 miles per week just for my commute. Throw in other trips for errands, etc. and I'm probably doing at least 1,000 per month. No issues thus far (*knock on wood) and I'm coming up on 21,000 miles.

I used to carpool with my wife but not anymore. So I'm driving around 50 miles a day which is 250 miles a week. So roughly 13k miles just driving to work.

I bought the KK almost a year ago and it had 14.5k miles on it. For being a 2009 it sat for a long time. No noticeable issues other than a bad coil. It now has 26k miles which puts me on goal for 13k miles in a year.

Now that I'm driving alone it'll go up probably to 15 or 16k. Unless I can work closer to home.

Commuting to school is 70 miles round trip. When I first got the Jeep I was going 4-5 days a week and racking up the miles. I've since wised up and schedule my classes for 2 days a week. Slowed it down big time. Now it gets a lot of around town commuting to work, seeing the girlfriend, and just random rides with her.

Even being out of school I'm doing atleast 200miles a week. With school I was averaging 250-300(2 days a week). Anyways, since I bought it in August of 2011, I've put 37k miles on it.

I drive on average 300-350 miles per month commuting to and from work and getting groceries which old girl was made for!

2006 KJ 2nd owner (first "car") purchased at 42K miles in 2012, now sitting at 79K miles.

Anywhere between 100-350 miles a week. With 2 kids, and starting up a business, the miles add up fairly quick. I try to balance it out by alternating between jeeps, but mostly drive the kj

I live 3 blocks from work and about 2 miles from the bank, grocery store, drug store, walmart, etc. so unless I'm going on a road trip some where about 35-40 miles in an average month. I usually only have to fill a ¼ tank of gas a week if that.
