I used truck bed liner, holds up really well and I think it looks good.

They look good :)
I have one in the back and I left one in the front for the winch to hook onto.
The one in the back used to bang and drive me crazy, so I got a set of Daystar isolators
to at least quiet it down a bit.

Bubba rope are nice but expensive. Recovery straps and tow straps are different. Go for the recovery straps.
Shovel, very important.
Gloves
Winch
Hi Lift jack, optional.
I have some grade 70 transport chain for an anchor point. Don't jerk anyone out with chain, it could snap and hit someone.

I've been looking at mini medal shovels lately, have my eye on a few. Do you suggest any good recovery straps?

So as for straps you want the recovery because it stretches so it's great for pulling out, but I think it's just a brand preference

mini shovels are nice to keep on the car bu when you go offroading and you get stuck you will love to have a real full size shovel, and ax pick.

this i can tell by experience,

hi light jack winch kit is great, most of the time you only need to get the car 1 foot or two to get it out,

So got my KK a few weeks ago, first Jeep, and after lurking for awhile feeling like it's bare bones and naked.

First thing I had to do was the hood lift strut mod, I got a little scared when I saw the stock prop rod flex a little and felt how heavy the hood was.
Image

Ordered a Curt hitch and wire harness and installed it. When I put it on I realized that it had a hitch installed before, when i saw the old wiring. I swapped the old wire box for the new one when I pulled in the hot wire and the crimp connector quickly separated.

Wired in a USB connector for a charging source for Ibolt dock for my phone. I'm hoping that is was a smart choice on he one I bought. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IJX ... UTF8&psc=1 I wired a relay off the 12v plug on the passenger side, so it would be switched fro the ignition. I couldn't find a wiring diagram online anywhere to tell me where else I could pull from.

I'm sure there will be more mods to add.

I know this was asked before, and I did a search on the forums for the thread/how to to do that mod, but came up with nothing. Do you have a link or p/n's and instructions to do that mod?
