To those of you with ATH bumpers... What in the heck did you do to make your turn signals not rattle like mad when you're driving down the freeway!

Hi all has anyone seen a photo of a 2012 liberty with a Reese universal hitch 37042 or similar I'd like to take a look at it as I'm thinking the way it's designed I might be able to do some xtra mods to it. But want to see it to be sure.

You remember his Kk had been attacked and suffered bumper damage. I think he got one to fix the damage.

Took my KK to a Luke Bryan concert yesterday and got there early to tailgate. Before I realized it, there was a Jeep parking club around me! Got a lot of compliments on my KK from other people too, so my ego was flying high :JEEPIN:

Haha unfortunately not, he did joke about it a lot though. And he tossed out some beers, which I was happy about :5SHOTS:

I went to camping with my girl in NJ.
The weather is so nice and we enjoyed it.
I loaded up my truck and ready to go.
Image

Extended roof rack helps a lot.
Image

I built a LED light bar with PVC and power it with a 12v car battery. It lasted for 2 days without recharging.
Image

Another way to use my roof rack - taking out trash...
Image

The 12v power system I made was good.
Image

I can use my car charger to charge all my tablet and cell phone.

Also installed the CB radio into the empty spot for the head unit...
Image

and the dual 2' antenna as well.
Image
I will do the wiring soon.

I adjusted my JBA adjust a struts to eliminate the rake on my KK. I am now sitting at 22" at all 4 corners (center of the wheel to flare). The JBA system rocks.

Haha! Excuse my rudeness lol I just installed yesterday... The bumper was a dream to install.. the shop however was a nightmare. I got screwed pretty badly by them and they were friends. I don't know what to say about that really other than it sucks

Pics to prove it happened.

Tomorrow I will post a pic. :D It is raining hard outside now and getting dark.
One thought for people with JBA adjust a struts: I moved the nuts 1/2 inch down and it netted me 1 inch of lift. I heard of the 2x rule of thumb when people talked about clevis lifts and adding top plates, but it applies here also. Because of the geometry of the control arms, adding 1/2 inch of spring height gets you 1 inch of height at the wheel.

We made sure the nuts/bolts were as tight as we could get it (I had couple helpers)
prior to doing the final install.
Congrats on the bumper btw :)

Sorry to hear about the shop troubles, body shops are notorious for being hustlers :furious:

About the turn signals, it could be that the back of the housings but got turned a little too much. With the studs being plastic, they just barely need to be snugged with the socket in your hand. It could be the wheel well liners too, if they aren't cut pretty high they can make some noise at speed.

I did the same thing, I waited a few weeks
after my ATH winch bumper and X20 winch install, to make sure the
suspension has settled a bit. Also had a re-alignment done.
My KK is now sitting at 21.5" front and 22" rear.
I like the slight rake up front.
Not sure if it helps with the mileage

I'll make a video of what I'm experiencing tomorrow and I'll post it.

The signal itself is tight. The mount(the actual bar) bounces like a spring in the wind

I'm going on a long highway trip in a few days, so I'll be able to answer your mileage question. I was wondering whether I would need a new alignment now. It seems like the bolts on the lower control arms are already 100% maxed out to the sides, so I don't think there's much to be done. The last time an alignment was done I was sitting at 21.5, so I'm only 1/2 inch higher than that now (it had sagged 1/2 inch down to 21 before I cranked it up to 22). Congrats on your new ATH bumper!

Cool, Thanks.
Mine is prob maxed out too, I was looking at the before
and after alignment and not much has changed. Have a safe trip! :)
