If I'm not mistaken these are the only 15s that fit because there is a nut that sticks below the brake disks I

As I posted earlier, I got the KK up to 22 inches using JBA's adjust a struts. I was at 21 in the front, 22 in the rear before this week. I am having mixed feelings about it, having driven about 700 miles on it in the last couple of days (including a highway trip from Michigan to Philly).

Pros:
- looks awesome
- more clearance in the front
- I got 19 mpg on a full tank yesterday while following trucks on I-76. Coincidence?

Cons/worries:
- feels less stable around corners at speed. Don't know if this is the higher center of gravity or if the alignment is out of spec now. But the alignment for the LCA's looks like it is at the max outside setting, so I don't think I can improve it any. Seems like there is a bit of positive camber noticeable when I look at it from the front (bottom of tires closer in than the tops are).
- front tires make more noise on the highway than they used to. I am worried I will wear down my expensive Duratracs faster, especially the outside edges of the tread.
- it might be my imagination, but I think I hear more turning noise from the CV or hub than I used to (while driving next to barriers that reflect sound). The CV angle is more pronounced at 22 inches than it was at 21.
- ESP activation while taking slow corners (like turning into driveways or 90 degree turns into side streets) is much more common than it was before. It happens a lot now.
- headlights are aimed too high now. I will need to re-aim them if I stay at this setting.

All of this considered, I am thinking of reducing the height to 21-1/2 to split the difference, or going back to 21. What do you all think? Does anyone have theirs up at 22 who would like to share their experience?

Keep me posted on what you choose to do. I sit around 21.5-21.75 last I measured. Alignment is good and have no problems. If you do chose to drop it down 21.5" is a nice height.

Will do. I'm going to get it aligned tomorrow. We'll see if the shop has any issues with getting a good alignment at 22 inches. Hope it works! If not I'll drop it down to 21.75 and then 21.5.

Also, I'll be doing the second oil change on my remanufactured Jasper engine. I did the first at 400 miles, and now I've gone about 1600 more. After this one I'll be back on a 3000 mile schedule as the engine should be broken in by now. I couldn't be more pleased. Not only is it quieter than my original engine, but it has more power and holds its own going up hills that would make my Jeep downshift before.

Thanks, you're basically my guinea pig for everything that I want to do lol. Glad we have similar ideas

Glad you're enjoying the new engine. Everyone loves more power! How has the fuel efficiency been?

The fuel efficiency started out pretty average (16 on the highway and 12 in the city) but I think the engine is improving as it gets broken in. A couple days ago I logged 19.0 mpg on the PA Turnpike, from the OH border where I filled up to the Ephrata service plaza where I filled up again. It was 100% highway and I followed semis most of the way to let them push the air. (Not unsafely close drafting, just the same distance I would follow any vehicle.) I had it off cruise most of the time because I wanted to keep a consistent distance behind the semis up and down the hills. Worked pretty well! For comparison, I get about 17 mpg if I put it on cruise at 65 mph (which is actually 67 due to my larger tires) and push the air myself. It's less efficient if I set the cruise at 70 in OH. Either way, it looks like I can save 10% on gas if I follow trucks, but it takes more attention during the trip.

That's good! I'd kill to hit those numbers. I was averaging about 15mpg going down to AC this weekend. I think my dad did about the same driving back(I was still drunk when we woke up in the morning lol). We pushed about 70-80mph the whole way. We also hit a lot of traffic around the city. I came to a dead stop in Staten Island going there, and apparently everything was at a standstill this afternoon. We literally made it from Atlantic City to Manhattan faster than we made it from Manhattan to Long Island.

What height are you running? I only recently went up to 22 from 21. I have an appointment for an alignment on Wed. If I can't get a good alignment at 22 I'll bring it down to 21.75 or 21.5 if necessary. There are a lot of guys running 3.5 inch lifts with no issues.

My mount actually swings down. I need to get some more pics when i get a chance. Its welded on top of my hitch. Actually pretty solid, it does woble a bit back and forth so i need to fix that. All in all i like it though
