At least you have a garage. I do have a basement...but my tools (in a chest) are in the dining room. The basement is full of the hubby's outboards and parts.

But going from a 3 car plus to an "almost" two but not quite is a huge downsizing :banghead:
I have never lived anywhere in the last 43 years, that I have been on my own, that didn't have a garage of some sorts. This is about the smallest to date though. Why do home builders build such small garages? This one is called a two car, but only if you own two 1969 VW Beetles and have nothing else in the garage :banghead: :banghead:

Because they get away with it.

My house was built in 1932, so no garage at all. Not even a shed - I had to add that. And I had to stay under a certain size so I didn't need a blasted permit.

My grandmother's house had a single car garage. She had a 1981 Chevy Celebrity 2.8L V6 4 door sedan. It was literally 2" narrower than the garage door…white paint stripes down both sides. That house was built in 1952, though.

The house I grew up in, built in 1972, had a 2 plus car garage, 2 separate doors. We could fit 2 large station wagons, plus generator, snow blower, leaf sucker, lawn mower, 4 bikes, ¼ cord of wood, plus the assorted hoses and spare tire crap in there. Without it being crowded. But my dad's best friend in college was the architect and it was custom-designed.

Reporting in... I got an alignment today and an oil change. I'm at 22 inches (center to flare) with a JBA adjust a strut 4 inch lift kit. The shop got everything in spec except the camber, which is really close to being in spec, but no room left to adjust... Tire rotations every 3000 miles and I should be good to go. It turns out that increasing the lift height by 1 inch actually threw off the toe the most, although camber was impacted too. I'm glad to have it back to normal. Thanks Tom et al. for the feedback earlier.

Yes as you raise the front of these it pulls the wheels in more and one of the side effects is the toe is off a good bit.
Have you had a chance to drive it much yet to see the difference??

My first garage when I was 19 was an old grainery ( on the farm I bought) that was large enough down below for 4 cars, but had a dirt floor at first. Upstairs was huge and thats where I stored car parts waiting to sell/ship/pickup. Problem was copperheads loved that place as much as I did so would always be crawling around at the most inopportune times!!!  :banghead:

I can't stand copperheads. Had them all over the area where I grew up, too.

Actually, I can't stand snakes....

Not yet. It was less than a mile from the garage back to the Day's Inn where I am staying.

I got her out on the highway for a short stretch today, up to 55 mph. Silky smooth. Also, turning around in the parking lot encounters a lot less resistance (tires-to-ground). I only had ESP kick in one time, turning onto a side street in town that went uphill and had a bump included. While the ESP thing hasn't gone completely away, I think it's much less finicky than before the alignment.

Check summit racing, I've noticed that they've been beating the local parts stores by a bunch. Picked up a Moog outer tire rod end for a third of what it cost at advanced. Same with brakes.

Thats just nuts! 25 days - which means its gonna go at least 28. And they were hounding ya about turning stuff in and having your internet hooked up.

Where I'm at the contractual workers get paid quicker! They hold back a month on full time. I worked 1 week turned in a time sheet and was paid the following Wed.

Hang in there!!!

One of the issues with consulting for a larger multi-state corporation, they have another company that does payroll for people like me. So the one has to talk to the other to talk to me to see when they can train me etc to turn in time. Plus the fact I was working over 2 weeks before they knew I was :ROTFL:
Oh well only working on the average of 3-4 hours a day so far, what I'll be doing hasn't fully kicked in yet. ( but sure would be nice to have it to pay rent/lights/water/oh and some food maybe and some parts for the KJ that are plum worn out.

Relax everyone, I'm still alive  :goink:
Trailer has paid for itself at least twice by now, KJ hates me for all the extreme labor I've been torturing it with, front yard is just about ready for it's first mow, back 40 coming up nicely, pathway going in this weekend and then I can seed the remaining yard :pepper: Moles are dropping like flies since I've mastered catching them lil buggers and the hate has grown deep since they enjoy digging in my new lawn :dead: Drywall, built in bookshelves, ceiling repair, landscape edgers and outside trim on deck and not to mention still finishing the basement :pepper:
So not much going on and have tons of free time :-)r

OH...free lunch today at Skyline Chili!!
Got a 4 way with beans ( yes I know sounds rather ...well you know)
drink for $0.00. They asked if I had ever ate at one, I said no, I ordered and later the Manager came back and thanked me for coming to the restaurant and said your meal is on the house!
They also gave me a goodie bag with some free coupons for Chili Dogs plus a couple of York peppermint patties .
Must of known I was broke and they didn't want me washing dishes
