Those are some good ideas for simple mods, I remember wanting to do that power converter since the day you posted the writeup..

In the mean time, picked up a fly rod rack for our boat. Tried it out on Squatch first (since it is made for automobiles)

It’s the Vac Rac Multi Rack. Seems pretty sturdy, although it’s not recommended to go over 55 or so with rods on

Looks nice on my KK

The wheels will work fine. The tires maybe depending on any sag of your coils. Since the wheels are the same bolt pattern you can always try it.

Wow, that is a good deal. In your shoes, I might get them and squirrel them away for later! If nothing else, they'll be encouraging you to keep saving for a lift every time you see them. :D You could run those with a 2.5 inch OME or Ironman lift. No need for anything more expensive, unless you want to go higher.

Do you by chance have a straight on picture from the front so we can see what it looks like?

Oh trust me, I've been on the forums. Had the carbs completely tore apart for a rebuild. Already had the top end off for a valve adjustment and to check the timing. All kinds of work to get this thing running right but it's worth it. You'll never see a GS650 chain drive

Yes you can. They will rub a little on the pinch welds on the back of the wheel wells on the front. The rears will fit without any problems unless you're off roading and flex. The puck lift is like $175 through summit racing, and will fit those wheels and tires with no rub, even at full flex.

nFodzy, looks good!

dcbelcher26, although it may be technically possible to put 245/75/16's on a stock KK, 95+% of people on here will tell you it isn't advisable. The rub will worsen as your stock springs sag, and you'll have a lot of contact when turning, flexing or going over bumps. 95+% of people will also advise against any kind of spacer lift, as the ride will worsen and it will prematurely sag your springs. Save for a 2.5 inch OME or Ironman lift kit (full springs and shocks), about $850 on http://www.jeepinbyal.com. Even with a spacer lift you'll also need longer rear shocks, and after installation and alignment you're more than half way to a full spring lift kit already.

Funny thing is i purchased a 2inch spacer lift and returned it. I do want to get a full spring lift. All in good time. I passed on the tires anyways
