This is a rant. :furious:

I am sick and tired of being ignored. Martin ( Rock Lizard) you have ignored me far to long and I have had enough. I worked with you for over a year to design a front bumper and rear bumper for a KK, in fact I even bought and sent you a factory KK bumper to help with the design. I transferred over money to you on January 12th, 2012 for both a rear and front bumper with the promise that there would be a 2 month turn around. To date I have only part of a front bumper. The metal is just that, metal, and the value if scrapped will probably be about 20 bucks.

Now I understand things happen, but two years? I have sent many emails to you and received under 10 responses back in over 2 years. Enough is enough.

You completed and sold another front bumper for a different customer with a KK before you even got me mine. And now your discontinuing your KK line? That's fine. I have sent you another email. You should check it.
I will ship you back the parts of the bumper I have at my own expense, but I want a full refund. If not, I will be seeing you in court. I have every email and PM sent between us all printed and ready to go.

You are a fraud. in fact when I ordered my sliders I also had a problem with getting them in time. That should have been my cue to disregard you as a possible fabricator.

Many people on this board know you, some may even talk you you regularly. I hope they reach out to you I really do. I want them to tell you that I'm here writing about you. This is not slander. This is a customer review and you failed.

You rob people, you promise goods with certain deadlines and you don't stick to what you say.

To every one reading this.... Please share this post with people you know, let them know that Rock Lizard Fabrications is an ABSOLUTE JOKE. I want you to wuote this, share it on other board or in other sections of this forum.

Oh and Martin, if you have a problem with this post you should call me... you have my number.

I'm just Jeepin_It_Real and that's my :2cents:

Haven't seen you in a long time. Sucks to hear all of this. I will admit RL does suck with communication and time lines. I understand it isn't a huge company, but some communication is key, especially when you can't deliver on the timeline that was agree'd upon. If it takes you 60something days to make a product, that's fine. But when you can't deliver in that time span then get in touch and explain that there is a delay.

I went through that with my sliders. He had some problems with getting the tubing. Fine, that happens I understand. BUT I had to get in touch with him to find out that there was a problem, after I should have gotten the product. Luckily I did end up getting my sliders as promised(ASAP for that matter) when production resumed.

Good luck with everything. Hopefully this thread doesn't turn into the others like in the KJ section.

Some well known board members are friends with him and I'm sure will try to protect him.

Good luck. He's got a lot of issues with getting projects done in a timely manner. Can't believe you sent him more money after the first go around. My sliders took forever also and I never recommended any of his products to anybody.

A suggestion for Rock Lizard. If you cannot complete an order on time then have it outsourced. You may not end up making money on it but you may save yourself a bad rap.

How can you protect over 2 years of excuses and lack of communication. Any time there was communication it was just another lie to assist in delaying getting the product out.

I understand 2 months, heck I even understand 6 months... I know things happen, and life takes up and downs, but 32 months is not acceptable. If there was a problem, it should have been communicated to me.

It seemed pretty easy for him to forget about me as a paying customer, even easier for him to forget about all the hours spent getting measurements, pulling my jeep apart to help out the KK after market, but I can ensure you all that I intend on making sure no one else forgets about me and my experience.

No one could protect that. Communication is key with any transaction. On the bright side, we have AtTheHelm now. Does great work and is a great guy. So far the biggest thing that he doesn't make is rock sliders, and I think he said that's on the to-do list.

This sucks! There are not many people/companies that build items for KK's, and that fact that he could not deliver or let you know is terrible. I guess it's good that he will no longer carry a KK line. If he keeps it up he won't be doing anything!

This worries me...I was thinking about getting a set of sliders before they pull the plug on them, now have me thinking...Most other sliders are not recommended so its either them or none I guess, I had thought about JCR as well....

I'm probably going to have both sliders and tube doors available next spring.

I say start with sliders first. Probably a larger market for that. Honestly, I would have went to you for sliders if you made them.
