I will be replacing my rack and pinion soon. I have already picked up the remaned rack from NAPA. I currently have 2 new Moog inner tie rods sitting on the self in my garage. Would it be better to install those and replace the ones with an unknown amount of use on them?

The remaned rack will come with brand new inner tie rod ends attached already.

One side feels new and stiff, but the other feels used and moves freely. They also do not have wrench flats like most other aftermarket inner tie rods. That is why I suspect they are used and not new.

I am going to change the tie rods. I am not worried about the warranty of the rack because I changed the hard lines to the original ones from my Jeep. The ones on the remanned rack were bent and kinked in some spots.
