The steering is the weak link. Gotta figure out the steering before jumping up to 6". As with the KJ, it'll probably be done with a cradle drop, meaning the same ground clearance as a 4" kit. Unless you go 33s. Then you'll get 1/2" higher than a 4" with 32s, or 1" higher than 4" on 31s.

What if instead of a cradle drop you raise the area where the tie rod ends meet the steering knuckle?

Ha ha, I had to get one that lets me move around the country! :D I'm LOST Midwest this fall, but I'll be back to being LOST MidAtlantic in the spring. Plus I like the Jeep driving up the mountain design, because that's what I do. :JEEPIN:

Please pass that onto others who think the Daystar is just as good as a full spring lift. Some will argue till the cows come home that there is no difference :-)r

No way to really raise the tie rod ends where they meet the knuckle. IF only off road some have done heim joints etc BUT not legal for US roadways and wouldn't last long in that area

What makes that illegal? I was thinking a thick C shape metal piece that had a bolt run through the knuckle and have an opening on top for the ball joint would be alright.

I put a JK winch bumper on the Liberty

Just need to make some filler panels for under the turn signals and mount my Hella 500s to the stinger.

Nice work! I bet you could fab a plastic panel using something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/ABS-Sheet-Thick-B ... A5BTDWVCW5
ABS plastic could be cut to shape, molded using heat, and painted to match (or left black). I am thinking of getting some soon to make a better fairing for my roof rack.

That's a good option & possibly easier to work with than steel. I was also weighing the option of creating an aluminum frame at the face of the opening & putting silver mesh there to match the x in the bumper. I'm starting to feel as if there is too much black up front.

My front crank seal is leaking :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: Small leak, but none the less, not something I wanted to deal with lol.

I was told that it's common on the 3.7s. Any truth to that?

This happened... Three times. I finally figured out that it is so moist here right now that they needed a quick bake to dry them out before reassembly. The sealant is now curing in a dry, inside room. Yeah, Anchorage monsoon season! :P

It happened to me last summer. Oil slinging all over the hot exhaust headers smells fun. :grim: But that was my bad engine that spun a rod bearing in April. :dead: I don't know if it's common in KK's in general. (I do know there is no connection between a bad front seal and a rod bearing problem like I had, so don't worry about that.)

Changed the cabin air filters. They were black and full of junk. ...and that stuff is not in my lungs, so I'm thankful. If you haven't changed your cabin filters in more than 12,000 miles, do it.
