I've removed my battery 4 or so times since owning the Jeep.
Each time that I have done so, the horn goes off for a second and scares the crap out of me.
Is this normal? Maybe removing cables in the wrong order?
I plan on removing the battery in the near future and to avoid this small issue if possible.

:ROTFL:

Okay. Jeep seems to be starting up a bit better since I cleaned the K&N unless it's a coincidence. Thought I'd take the cables off and clean them and the terminals for the hell of it.

IIRC, the horn sounds when I reconnect power to the battery. Yup, I jump every time!

:ROTFL: Scared me to death the very first time. I was expecting it the next few times.
I'm surprised I've never seen someone else mention this.

Then is mine broken because I have disconnected the battery about 7 or 8 times and it's never gone off on me lol, is it a specific year maybe?

Mine has never gone off either. Maybe it's a pre-11 thing?

Maybe it's a black Jeep thing.

It's not just the KK. KA 07-08 also do it. After that, 09+ it does not do it.
