Time to work on rear bumper... :frankie:

Lammarco, Did you relocate the solenoid on your winch?

I'm considering moving it from my winch into the passenger side of the engine bay. LOTS of space in there! Wondering if you have a link for a little info about what I can and can't do?

I have cold air intake so I don't have the air box inside the engine bay. I just screw it in the metal...and call it for the day...I will make an extension remote soon so I don't need to open the hood for the control remote. I will take more pictures soon as I am going away tomorrow. :banghead:

I did the exact same thing a while ago. Ran the solinoid into the engine compartment and mounted it to the side of the shield for the CAI. I also ran the solinoid key to the cubby to the right side of the steering column so I can plug the controller and not have to mess with the hood. Finally, I wired two switches on my switch bank with winch power and winch in/out so I could control the winch via switch inside the cab, or via the remot via outside the cab. Here are a few pictures:
Where I mounted the solinoid box. I still want to water proof everything, but am extremely happy with the placement and getting the solinoid out of the elements.

Here is the "key" as I call it. What you plug the controller into)

That picture is kinda old, I have since added a 42" LED light bar to the roof rack :D
I would be happy to give anyone more information here or privately, or more pictures if anyone wants.

Fixed my belt tensioner as it was causing a whining noise that made me sound like a Prius... :banghead:

Here's the How-To I made for it too :frankie:

Well, the day has come. I traded it in. Gas was just getting way too expensive, especially on my 40 mile per day commute. And I replaced it with this 2013 Jetta Hybrid. Amazing gas mileage!

Just kidding. I swapped vehicles with the girlfriend so I could have this serviced and I entrusted her with the KK!

I was about to say, I do 35 miles one way to school. You could definitely afford the commute :p

Look up them on this forum they bend really easy. If they're a good price then it might not be a bad buy.

Thanks! I test drove a 2015 which was great. That 3.6 is a good engine but new just wasn't in the cards for me.

Very happy with this Sahara though. The wife named it Oscar

Edit: Nevermind, I have RL(it's been a long day). How much are they asking? If it's cheap(I mean like $100 or under) it might be worth it. A few people had problems with RRO sliders bending though.

LKW, I'm surprised you settled for a 3.8 model. I figured you would have sat on the KK until you could afford a 3.6 JKU. Goodluck with it though! Still gonna stick around?

In my opinion there's nothing wrong with the 3.8. It's not as "peppy" as the 3.6l, but it still provides a smooth ride.

It's insane how expensive these things are. I saw a 2008 with 112k miles for 18k. That's craziness.

If anyone is considering a new JKU. The 2015s come with full skids standard which I thought was cool.

I'll be sticking around of course. I know I've been absent lately, I'm selling my XJ so I've been trying to get it sold. Hopefully tomorrow and I've had a lot of interest in it.

I wouldn't be surprised to see their value hold further, like they always have. With all this discussion on the new Wranglers being aluminum/unibody/IFS/insert your rumor here, I have a feeling Wranglers will be highly sought after before the new model is released.

They do hold their value and finding a used one was next to impossible. We searched dealers all over and either they had just sold or weren't in the best of condition.

The one I bought has a few items from quadratech. The mats look brand new.

Get the 4.7L throttle body for the Wrangler. Also, Hypertech has a tuner for it and even an option for using the 4.7L throttle body. :frankie:

They make superchargers as well  Any plans for it yet? Also how much did they give you for the KK, if you don't mind me asking?

Be prepared to get disappointed with the trade in value. They all said 12k was my trade in value and I only had 33k miles on it. My trade in could be a little higher but the previous owner had a small rear collision.

There was very little negotiations on the price of the Wrangler since they move them so quickly and have a lot of interest. So I basically had to pay asking. Which was their Internet price which is lower than the dealer advertised price at the lot.

I don't have any plans for it since I'd like to keep it fairly clean. I won't be plasti dipping anything lol. In the future I might get a lift installed but I actually like the stock look. The stock Sahara looks fine to me.

I know I'll miss the liberty because it was a great vehicle. I just have always wanted a wrangler. The amount of storage space is amazing in the JKU.

I looked at the JK and there wasn't any storage at all. Best for a single guy and not one with a family.

Congrats on the JKU! Hope you'll still come on to visit us.. and the seller wants $300 or best offer for them. Not final or anything, I just might save an extra $100 and buy JCR's or wait for ATH to come out with some if he does.
