Might as well fix it once your new shocks come in, if you already ordered them haha.

They should be in next week. I'm ordering them Wednesday from jba amazon doesn't have the exact same shocks as jba does. Amazon has light duty and jba has heavy duty.

This could have been solved from the first couple of posts! But I still would have needed new shocks.

Also saw the rubbing on the knuckle. That's normal. It's from full lock on the steering.

Will that eventually stop rubbing? The jeep pulls down due to stock knuckles being to short.

Will not stop rubbing , stock knuckles are not too short, that is not your problem

Normal to rub up and down like that ? Never seen that on a " properly " lifted KK before
So glad I never got a KK

Also, not sure if Skyjacker said it's any different, but I know when I installed the Daystar lift (identical to this one) their instructions were to install the bigger isolator under the spring not above as you have pictured. The popping noise could be your UCA contact on the spring and/or your UCA ball joint being dry since there's a puncture in the boot.

Boy do I feel stupid!!! The spacer should be on the bottom of the shock... that should give the shoch an extra 1/4" or so for the shock to move. And maybe the 3.25" after I fix will be the actual 2.5" or 3" lift. :dizzy:

I'm still installing the shocks. Ball joints next year along with a bull bar.

Can't replace just the ball joints and now with winter etc / torn boot, wouldn't wait too long. Have you ever seen a KJ/KK that the UBJ broke? Not pretty

That's the rubbing I'm talking about. It's from the stops for the steering. My knuckles had that from when I was stock. If you go to full lock and hold it/hit the stops too hard it makes a dent.

X2................

Those are the steering stops and every single KK will have those same marks.

Won't the knuckles be slowly weakened then?

At least Troy had my back

I think it's more or less worse for the steering rack. How much? I'm not sure.

I'd have to assume that 1 inch rub area is from when at full lock it yanks the front end down. Never noticed it before the lift. There has to be a product out there for this issue. Its not like I'm the first to have it right!

It's possible. Mine sees full lock every day, multiple times a day. I back into my driveway and am on a busy street.

I think the more urban you are, the more common it will be. After I saw what it does, I try to avoid it. But we all know that there's times where you need to be at full lock.

I noticed when on the trails earlier than at full lock I get a whining noise. But as soon as I let off a smidget it stopped and I was good to go once again.

If you're twisting it that much has to be doing something to the PS pump. I try to never crank mine that far unless offroad and have to

Shocks should be going on tomorrow if not by the end of this week. I'll post back if any issues were resolved. Including fixing the spacer screw up. I got the shocks in the mail today, and they are gigantic.

That is because your at full lock and the PS pump is at max pressure and has nowhere to sent that pressure(pushed through the relief valve),bad for the pump and builds heat very fast in the PS system that barely holds any fluid.

Those should fit pleasantly in there though. I'm sure the ride would be much better too haha. Just know that that spacer lift is best on temporarily. You're going to want to start saving yesterday for a full suspension lift because your springs have 10,000mi lift...tops...
