Anyone receive a call from Jeep saying there was a recall? Is this a common way for jeep to contact you if your call has a recall or was it a scam?

scam. I got a call before and a letter from "my local Chrysler dealership" saying they have a buyer for my jeep. they made it look 100% legit. other then paying the price of my jeep and shipping fees plus an extra 10% just because. even if it was for real, I wont give my jeep up.

id call the dealership if you think its worth it. or look online if you need the recall.

I got a phonecall from the dealership I bought it from regarding the recent hitch recall, they just wanted to schedule an appointment. I also received the letters in the mail for this and all other recalls. If they're claiming to be a dealership you know, I'd call the dealership directly just to make sure.

Probably a scam or at best a sneaky sale call. If there is an "official" NTSB recall you will get a notice sent to your address of record (e.g. your address at the time of purchase). You can go to the Jeep official web site, select the Owners link, click on recall information, search for open recalls based on your VIN.

I received a post card last year and a phone call a couple weeks ago. Scheduled the appointment with the dealer. They pretty much looked at mine, said yes, you already have a hitch receiver, put a sticker on it and marked it as done.
