Hey Phil - I have one almost exactly like that.
I will tell you that they did so-so for my rebuild. Ideally you want something that has more capacity, but technically........

.... you can do it. YMMV
Stock was ...ok only.
For the 927s, I was at the limit, here's why:
-The seat at the bottom is not quite wide enough for the shock. It needs to be clearanced.
-The hooks for the springs are not very strong and the quality control is not great - welds are ok only, hooks are not that strong, pressed, not cast.
-also the angle isn't ideal when you swing those arms around the spring to position the hooks. It took me about 4 tries for each to get the spring compressed properly. As you compress it, even just being 1/8" off centre when you start compressing can turn into a 3" difference when you have it compressed enough to get the top hat off/on. Even if you safely got it off, like tom says, you then have to compress the new, stiffer and longer spring...
-the top portion (with the two bolts) has way too much play along the vertical square rod so that the angle changes while you compress it. It makes the bad angle stuff I mentioned above even worse. I had to use scrap steel wedged into it to keep the alignment in position. Even then, tough to keep aligned without readjusting a lot.
-the ram doesn't always work properly. Sometimes it releases pressure, sometimes it doesn't. Part of this is due to the binding, which is unavoidable with this piece.
- if you do get it, ensure it is all greased up properly, wear a shit-ton of safety gear and pray.
If I was to do it again, I wouldn't use it. Those parts store hand compressors would not be possible to use.
