What is the deal, why doesn't anyone make a body lift for the Liberty? What's so hard about it?

because the KJ is a uni-body and the frame and body are one... the body can not be seperated from the body. Hope that helps. Later...Clint

I am working on it!

Take a look,

http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... 90&start=0

I am hooking up with Jeff Daniels Jeep in Pa. and maybe we will start making these lifts by the end of the year.

I am still ironing out the bugs in the rear, such as popping the springs out at full flex, bending the upper diff mounts, and aligning the driveshaft. Rusty's has made me a new set of lower arms, little longer little more contact area of the threaded part so it doesn't rattle so much.

I am also looking at different upper a-arms treatments. The drop a-arms just aren't working well. Great off road at low speeds, not nice on the road, with a lot of bump steer.

The extra lift provided works great off road, I have taken some of the toughest trails in the area (ones that are one step below the "buggy trails") to hammer on the lift. So far so good, except for the jumping springs that are not for the KJ (6 inch LJ springs from Skyjacker).

That's what I need!!!. Hurry up, I want to be first in line. I like that it drops the motor and subframe to keep the CG low.

Al, you can use hose clamps to retain the springs if they are popping out? i'm sure you know that already?

Yep, on the trail all we had was zip ties and a 1 inch strap. They worked great. I think I will need to order the custom made springs. The LJ springs are too light. The rear end bounces around on the road. Great for the trail, they really flex, but too soft for the road. I couldn't imagine them with a load in the back.
