So I started here:
http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f28/one- ... s-1142700/and at least got the courage up to get a screwdriver, head out to the parking log on my lunch, and take off the taillights. Maybe if I dusted them off like an old NES game it would work again? Seems like the driver side light was in backwards if you can believe it, not seated correctly. That was easy. The passenger side was burnt so I got a replacement from autozone. Easy.
One question though, is that I have a 2004 Jeep Liberty and all the auto parts catalogs seem to say the 3157 is the replacement bulb, however my brake lights were all 1157. I'm thinking maybe a previous owner swapped them out for something else? I'll post some pictures when I get home.
