 Post subject: HELP -- Rear window glass strut attachment point broke off

Went to replace my rear glass struts and the mount ball on the right side glass broke off (rusted thru). ANYONE have a repair/fabrication for this? JEEP only sells the rear glass and single unit. my Liberty is 2005 CRD 4x4 limited.

not sure of the size of the ball, but im sure you could find some one in the hardware store with a micrometer.

Thank you for the great idea. I was going to cut the ball off the flange that mounts to the body. Smooth over and drill into the fitting on the glass and just attach with epoxy. You idea sounds better. I will post my results here for others.
