I am replacing the ignition switch on my 2007 Liberty and went to remove the actuator pin from it and have determined it does not want to separate from the switch. Every video I have seen shows a simple pull away of the two parts. Does this indicate a problem with the actuator being stuck in the ignition switch?

I just recently replaced a broken actuator pin in my 2007 Liberty. If part of the actuator is broken, it could be jammed inside the Switch.

My Ignition Switch did pull off, but a small metal part of the pin had broken and just fell out when I pulled them apart.

Not the easiest repair. I had to remove the steering wheel which involved carefully removing the airbag, and renting a steering wheel puller from a local auto parts store to remove the steering wheel. Getting the new actuator to fit properly inside the ignition cylinder (where the key goes in) was tricking, but it finally went back together.

Let me know if you need any help.
