Okay, so I've sourced/created a stub puller. That can be used to pull the remaining bits of axle tube from the casing.

2.5" diameter solid stock 1/2" thick with a 9/16 hole punched in the centre.
3" od 1/4 wall tubing 2" long and a 3" diameter solid bar 1/4" thick with a 9/16 hole.

Ram a 9/16 bolt through the centre and press away.

Total cost, 17 dollars cad.

Today back under the rear checking to see how everything is working, checking clearances / wear and OH YES waxing everything underneath, springs/ shocks /muffler
Yesterday was changing the air in the tires , still had winter air in them and with temps in the 80s here now had to get that cold air out

K. Update. I have photos. Need to upload what I've been doing.

Today I'm helping the old man lift his dakota.

I picked up metal for driver side seal stub.

How are my idea's unproven?

It's metal. Form it properly and everything is possible.

Professionally engineered?
Certified welds?
Stress tested?

If your developing something great! But if you think something is the ultimate just because your doing it and that there couldn't possibly be any problems, it's time for a reality check.

Ok I'm done - carry on - best of luck and all that.
