If we were closer, we would jump on this in a heartbeat. We have traveled 100s of miles on the back roads of BB NP, plus the surrounding regions and LOVE the area. It has changed so much over the years that we went there and know we would enjoy spending more time there. Don't forget to meet the mayor of Lajitas and see that area just outside the park.

I'm actually planning a trip out there around October time frame. I've hiked there. But never done the 4x4 roads. That's what October will be for. And as 4x4 kayak said. If your in Texas looks us up.

Just got word that BB NP is closing about ½ their campgrounds until Oct/Nov time frame. That includes the one FHU campground, Rio Grande Village, so plan accordingly if you are camping. Seems they are understaffed so the campgrounds were first to get cut. Wish we were closer, as we love to 4 wheel in the park.

The camp grounds I was going to stay at were the rural roadside campgrounds. I wouldn't think they'd close those. As far as dates I can't set it yet. I'm graduating in early October and I have a little leave set for somewhere around then. I'm just not sure when yet. But as soon as I find out I'm post back here. I was thinking about 4 days 3 nights out there.

This is what I did. My camp ground was on the far south side next to the river LOOP CAMP. Great view and perfect for the off-road enthusiast
