Had my 02 Limited 3.7 at the dealer having the recall and some other maintenance items done, when it came to the cooling system flush, he showed me the cap which was gummed up,and said they would clean out the bottle and flush out the system as much as he could, he did the flushing out with a water hose! Is there a a way to pressure reverse flush it out, are there chemicals cleaners available, someone advise me.
I suspect when I had to have my radiator replaced they didn't flushed out the coolant and used the wrong antifreeze!

If you use one of the commercially available "fast flush" concoctions be SURE to follow directions explicitly! I've always had excellent results with a simple water hose flush as long as all the passages get hosed out. Take both heater hoses loose, drain plug, preferably thermostat neck and thermostat out. Put on clothes you don't mind getting wet and dirty, and run water through all of them, including both heater hose connections and heater core.

Anything in there should be water soluable and wash right out. If you have petroleum products (think leaky head gasket, cracked head) in the cooling system there's more problems than just poor coolant condition.

the dealer did the water hose, I think it will take more to loosen up the crud, are the chemicals safe to use on a aluminum engine? anyone out there done this successfully. I may try a local radiator shop!
Thanks for your reply

That is what I suspect, I had too have the radiator replaced and they used the incorrect coolant, they were supposed to be certified Mopar mechanics from a closed Jeep dealer! What can you suggest to clean it out?
Thanks Mr Mudd
