Ok guys I know that this has been covered before but I need someone to point me in the right direction on how to do a clevis lift. I need it kind of broken down all the way to what exactly the clevis is and what to use and where to put the parts to gain the lift. Also what is the max that you can go when doing a clevis lift? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. :?

Ok, I got that but it seems that I had read something before about having to use conduit nuts to do a clevis lift or something. That is where I am confused I was trying to find something about that...does anyone know anything about this? If not than all I have to do is pry the bottom of the strut up a bit and then retighten? :?

Yes, you can pry the strut assembly up in the clevis and re-clamp it to get the lift. The main reason people add the conduit nuts is to keep the strut from sliding back down into the clevis during heavy wheeling. Heres a link to a thread about using conduit nuts (with pics): http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=5880&highlight=conduit If you type 'conduit' into the search engine on the site you can find several more threads about it. To add the conduit nuts you would have to remove the strut bottom from the clevis, then put it back in with the nuts between the strut flange and the top of the clevis. Hope this helps.
