Almost all of the newer cars I've seen have the buttons on the back of the wheel that are pretty nifty. Unfortunately, for at least the 2008-2010 model year, it seems that only the limited trim level got them. There is no kit that mopar makes, like the cruise control that is plug and play, however based on what I have seen in wiring diagrams and on my jeep, the wiring is in place for them to be added.

If you have the two switches and a new harness, you can recreate the needed circuitry in the wheel. The problem is the only harness mopar has is for the EVIC models, so it requires some rewiring to get it to match. The TIPM also needs to be programmed to know the switches are there.

I have all of the components and a spare steering wheel I still have to find somewhere in my garage that I plan to cut up for this project. If I am successful, I think I'll be the first to have done this. If it is not too hard, I'll post a write up here. In the meantime, if someone happens to have a picture of the steering wheel insides (airbag removed) where I can see the inside spokes, that would help me out until I find my old steering wheel.

I'm 99% sure it's possible to mount an 11-12 wheel on the 08-10s. That would have all the buttons included already and just a matter of getting the wiring right. No idea what that would entail as I've never seen what it looks like with the steering wheel off.

Always thought the radio controls in our KKs (08-12) were installed in the base line up.

Sorry to hear you don't have the controls. Their great I have and wish Ford's had the same configuration.

Only 11-12 Sports had that. It was part of the interior refresh.

I have radio controls from the factory, AJ. :)

Definitely wasn't just the Limited.
