Im in the middle of my research for the lift, here are the components I am currently eyeing up.

JBA Adjust-A-Struts with fox. I have not read if this will improve the KKs poor front articulation.
Front and rear bump stops.
Upper A-arms.
BILSTEIN - Heavy Duty 4" Lift Rear Shocks.

All that is listed above is from JBA.

track bar? yea or nea? im shooting for a no issue lift (premature yoke failure), so maybe 3.5" to 3.8".

below is from http://www.ox-usa.com/
Ring & Pinion 3.90. 3.88 would get me to stock speed. what do you think about 3.90, 4.10, 4.56, or 4.88. I don't need to burn through tires, I want power on the trail and fuel efficiency on road.

8.25 and D30 locker. im pretty set on a central air system, both lockers will utilize a solenoid.
CHRYSLER 8.25 Install Kit.

little disappointed OX doesn't have a 29 spline D30 locker... or any one for a matter of fact.

and last but not least, ATH front bumper. with prerunner hoop.

Wish listed items:
Rough Country 12000lb Electric Winch (Steel).
Curved LED light bar (Roof).
new battery, will be larger then stock 850.
larger rims and tires.
rear rotor... learned my lesson
overhead console. to hold the cb, switch panel, and hvac controls.
Tow package. cant find the kit on google, but im 99% sure Lauren did a write up on the installation, maybe he posted a link there.

I think that sums up my needs and wants for my lift.

EDIT: found the part numbers over on the jeep forum for the towing package.

YES WILL IMPROVE ARTICULATION OVER STOCK

TRACK BAR YES, I'D SUGGEST ANYTHING OVER 3INCHES IN REPLACING IT, PLUS LONGER SWAY BAR LINKS

SINCE THE REAR CAN ONLY GO 3.73/ 4.10/4.56/4.88 NO USE THINKING 3.90 ETC

8.25 and D30 locker. im pretty set on a central air system, both lockers will utilize a solenoid.

MUCH BETTER WINCHES OUT THERE GO WARN

Lauren has a whole how to for the tow package in the tech section.

As for the rest, Tom hit the nail on the head. I'd go 4.10s. It's not about returning to stock speed, but returning to stock rpms. 4.10s with 31s will get you close to stock. Arb makes air lockers for the front and rear so you can look there if you want a front locker (I don't know much about ox).

~3.5" is the sweet spot for the front. In the rear get extended swaybar links and an adjustable track bar that way you can fine tune and tweak everything as needed.

I do plan on going larger. 265/75. 4.56s would be recomended, but how would 4.88s benefit me?

with 32s I'd do 4.56s

Thanks. I'll be going with 4.56 then. Just not looking forward to the install price of them. This is not a diy job for me.

With 32s you'll need 4.10s or 4.56s. Being in PA, 4.56s would probably be better for you. If you were closer to sea level or in a flatter area, 4.10s would work. Gotta remember, 32s and 4.56s technically over gears you. You'll sit higher than stock, but it;ll make up for the excess weight.

I'm bigger fan of JBA's newer struts, with adjustable compression and rebound clickers. Never been a huge fan of Fox but to each their own.

I would if you want a no issue list. Not to do with the slip yoke, but because the rear driveshaft has been rubbing on my gas tank skid. With a new track bar it'll push the axle back to center and "hopefully" stop the rubbing.

below is from http://www.ox-usa.com/
Ring & Pinion 3.90. 3.88 would get me to stock speed. what do you think about 3.90, 4.10, 4.56, or 4.88. I don't need to burn through tires, I want power on the trail and fuel efficiency on road.
Regearing won't really affect you power on the trail. Our low end torque in 4LOW will give you all you'll ever need for that. Fuel efficiency is usually the end goal of most regear jobs. I could've gotten 4.10s but with my mountainous driving and semi-occassoinal towing I decided on the 4.56s. Haven't regretted this decision even once!

8.25 and D30 locker. im pretty set on a central air system, both lockers will utilize a solenoid.
CHRYSLER 8.25 Install Kit.
Air lockers is pretty much the most ideal way of doing things. OX is an amazing brand to choose. The only other selectable locker out there is ARB which is the tried and true but I'm more into the OX lockers

little disappointed OX doesn't have a 29 spline D30 locker... or any one for a matter of fact.
Yes they do...

and last but not least, ATH front bumper. with prerunner hoop.

Wish listed items:
Rough Country 12000lb Electric Winch (Steel). Much better brands out there unless you're getting a steal and a half on a slightly used one.
Curved LED light bar (Roof).
new battery, will be larger then stock 850. Not a necessity to get more than an 850.
larger rims and tires. Stick to 16" rims. Nothing is wrong with stock wheels, especially since you've spent all this time painting them.
rear rotor... learned my lesson
overhead console. to hold the cb, switch panel, and hvac controls.
Tow package. cant find the kit on google, but im 99% sure Lauren did a write up on the installation, maybe he posted a link there.

I think that sums up my needs and wants for my lift.

Nick,

http://www.ox-usa.com/76-dana-30 I did not find a 29 spline D30 locker. if they have one hidden somewhere, I can not find it.

as far as the adjust a strut goes, what would the difference (performance wise) be between the two shocks?

im torn between 4.56 and 4.88. I do live in a very mountainous area here in pa, and more so in Virginia.

I do plan on sticking with 16" rims but with 32s. I may have a trail set and a street set. the street set being my current tires. my trail tires will probably be steelies. my alloy rims are showing their trail use!

as far as the battery goes, the winch, light bars, and a potential audio system upgrade in the future. knowing that all of these accessories wont be turned on at the same time, the 850 is sufficient?

I do plan on building the tool box in the rear of my KK this year, so maybe an extra 150 Lbs. back there.

and since im getting the adjust a strut, im going to be selling the Bilstien shocks up there. since I bought them for 90 bucks (the price rose since I bought them), ill be putting them up for sale for 130 for the pair.

the spacers and bushings that came with them (besides the sway bar) will be going for 160. the advertised is 2.5". I got 3 1/4 in the front and 2.5 ish inches in the rear.

the front springs will be trashed and rear springs will be saved incase of an emergency.

did I forget anything else?

as far as the adjust a strut goes, what would the difference (performance wise) be between the two shocks? You don't have adjustability like the "JBA" shocks with the Fox's. I'm glad I chose the Bilsteins when they were the shock.

im torn between 4.56 and 4.88. I do live in a very mountainous area here in pa, and more so in Virginia. Unless you're running a 33" or higher, 4.88 shouldn't even be looked at. 4.56s is plenty and then some.

I do plan on sticking with 16" rims but with 32s. I may have a trail set and a street set. the street set being my current tires. my trail tires will probably be steelies. my alloy rims are showing their trail use! 4.56s and your 245/75s will be god-awful in mileage. Best to just buy a good aggressive AT or deal with the sacrifice of poor mileage with an MT.

as far as the battery goes, the winch, light bars, and a potential audio system upgrade in the future. knowing that all of these accessories wont be turned on at the same time, the 850 is sufficient? 850CCA is what my battery puts out, with over 1000CA at 70* no need to bump in physical size in batteries is what I'm referring to.

and no one caught this...

my jeep would look awful funny if I had a 4" lifted front end and stock in the rear...

so JBA springs for the rear. the JBA 4" lift.

http://jeepinbyal.com/liberty-2008-2012-kk/rear-shocks-and-coil-springs/rear-coil-spring-set-kk.html
In red, yes they were installed. the current price of one shock on JBA is $105. I bought them for about $180 for the set. so $130 sounds about reasonable. they didn't blow a seal and broken in now and ride like a champ!

EDIT: I've been looking for hours :banghead: trying to find an air locker for a d30 29 spline. all im finding are 27 spline lockers. :furious: :furious: and haven't had much success on any d30 29 spline either. am I missing something???

EDIT 2: So far:

OX Chrysler 8.25 locker
JBA Rear springs
JBA Rear bump stop
JBA Track bar
JBA 4" Rear KK Sway Bar Links
JBA Extended Front Sway Bar End Links
JBA Adjust-A-Struts with bump stops
JBA 2 Rear Shocks
ATH winch bumper
VIAIR Quarter Duty Onboard Air System

shockingly, all of this is less expensive then a JBA 4" gold package...even with the rear locker I want.

for now I am going to wait to put a tab on gears. 245s may be fine with me currently, and if so ill use 4.10s. if the 245s look odd ill go with 4.56 and 32s.

basically im almost at 5k right now... with out taxes and shipping... not looking forward to the shop install price. you may hear a girly scream from Ohio Tom!

EDIT 3: I interpreted information wrong. The d30 is a 27 spine... start the name calling :ALONE: ox will be in my front and rear!

Got off the phone with marlin a few minutes ago... guess what's in testing.......

Put a down payment on an ATH rear bumper. Finally got around to the winter "accident" that led me to need a new bumper.

Like I said some where on here, the rear lift is currently at an inch, so I'm going to need to do something really fast to remedy the rear end. Man these springs are weak! I only have 200 lbs of added weight in the rear (including the spare)
