found this pump recently, https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/fuel_pumps_regulators_and_filters/fuel_pumps/carbureted_electric_fuel_pumps/parts/12-1800

its the HOLLEY Dominator fuel pump 200gph, can run inline or submerged in tank and can run on many different fuels including DIESEL.

my thought was to use the EXTREME DIESEL sump http://www.xtremediesel.com/XDP-Black-Anodized-Diesel-Fuel-Tank-Sump-Kit-XD131.aspxon the bottom of my fuel tank, then plumb hard fuel line to a water separator filter and then the HOLLEY pump. This would then push the fuel to the existing filter head and into the engine.

i like the EASY wiring and mounting of the pump its no bigger than a double deck of cards.

i can easily make my own brackets for both the pump and the primary water separator filter....

thoughts?

I'm not certain but the psi is prolly too much. Also there are way cheaper option that will get the job done. A lot of guys are using the carter/airtex in tank pump. I myself am using a facet pump(4-6psi) mounted close to the tank

I was thinking of plumbing in a fuel regulator (Holley) as well, to dial down the PSI.

That Holley fuel pump is waaaay too much pump for the CRD motor.
You could probably feed ten CRDs with that one pump.
I too use a Facet pump. It does the job well.

I woulnt mess with that sump thing either.
If you are off roading and a boulder or tree limp drags against it, it will get ripped right out of your plastic fuel tank.
Not to mention that there is already problem with these fuel tanks rupturing with hard rear end collisions.
Best to use that money for a good fuel tank skid plate.

The Kennedy lift pump has been used by a few. It's high quality, external and is intended to feed a Bosch CP3.

The in-tank Carter or Airtech fuel pumps are one of the least costly and best options for adding a primary fuel lift pump to feed the fuel system! Anything that pumps much more than 15 psig discharge pressure is a complete overkill for the demands of the Jeep CRD even if you install a healthy power/torque producing tune...
The Jeep CRD comes factory wired with a relay for the in tank fuel pump; all that has to be added is the wiring from under the back seat to the top of the fuel tank. Many on this forum have done this modification and are very pleased with the results. There are several threads on this forum that cover the install instructions in detail if you decide to go that route....

I just did the intank fuel pump mod on my jeep and it wasnt as bad as it sounds. I went to the junk yard and cut out the connector for the rear harness to steal the pins and 18g wire i needed. Ordered up a new harness for the CRD liberty and built it all before i even dropped the tank. The rear lines are a PITA to disconnect above the rear axle, but I now no longer have any hard starts due to fuel.
