Hi, been a while since my last post. Jeep's running a lot better too. Even so, seem to have run into a problem with the fuel gauge, even after filling up the tank, it only reads 3/4 full. A shop I trust (the one that finally fixed the miss-timing issue) diagnosed it as a bad fuel sender but their supplier has them on back order and doesn't know when they'll have more. So I've taken it upon myself to order one and take it to them. When I have seen the part, it has been included with a fuel pump assembly. Is it a good idea to upgrade the fuel pump assembly now that this needs to be done?
Also, recently while driving, the ABS and Emergency Brake dash lights have started illuminating. The same mechanic used a scantool and found that all four speed sensors were being flagged, which he found puzzling. Anyone run into this before?

Thanks

Clean battery terminals and have battery load tested even if it's new. Both stoutdog and I have experienced fuel gauge problems with original OEM red tops, with clean terminals, that still had enough juice to start engine and in both cases new batteries solved the problem.

Interesting, the mechanic suggested it might be the battery. Said that when it had been in the shop a couple weeks ago the majority of the times he tested it, it read low voltage. It's one of Les Schwab's "extreme" batteries and only 15 or 16 months old, so I took it to a local store and they said it tested fine. What battery do you recommend?
