Anyone else ever run into this issue and if so what did you do about it?
Was replacing the brake pads & rotors on the front and decided to replace the rears as well on my 05.
I found the rear caliper pistons looked really bad so I decided to replace both calipers, pads, and all brake hoses on the rear. So I ordered all three new replacement rear brake hoses from AutoZone only to find that the existing outside hoses left & right are permanently mated to the steel lines. The rubber flex hoses and metal lines are all one piece back to the "TEE" block and cannot be disconnected from each other unless you cut them into. They don't come apart! What the heck?

See pictures below.
The center hose (frame to axle) fit perfect with no issues.
Guess I could cut the metal line off at the fitting, add a flare nut and flare the OEM tubing to screw into the new hose fittings???
I checked all the local parts stores including NAPA and they all simply supply the same little short rubber flex hoses that have a screw in female fittings for a metal line.
Checked all the normal online places and all they list is the short rubber hoses by itself as well.
I did find these oddball one piece hose/metal lines on a couple of the Mopar vendor sites and RockAuto, and the left one is over $300 dollars while the right one is only around 40 bucks and it is the much longer line. Makes absolutely no sense at all!
Just another one of those crazy oddball things on this vehicle so I guess I should not be real surprised.
I simply reused the OEM hoses until I figure out what the best course of action will be.
