KJs still sitting quietly in the garage
not sure what to do with it
new engine while everything else has over 200,000 miles
or part it out and go for something totally different

The local pull a part has a bunch of them, if you're interested.

Hey who are you trying to fool? We know you ! Everything else on that jeep does not have 200,000 miles on it! The engine just decided it was its turn :goink:

Haven't been posting up in here much this summer. So just an update for the ones who don't follow my posts on FB. Had shoulder surgery in March, was off work from Jan. 3rd until June. Healed very well!
Bought a house in April and had a LOT of remodeling done on it. New kitchen, from the walls out. New Merillat cabinets, all new appliances, granite countertops, hardwood floors, recessed led lighting, new master bath, walk-in, handicapped, jacuzzi tub for my wife with tile floors and surround, fresh paint throughout, moved a wall for the laundry room and probably more I'm not thinking of right now. Contractors are out and we finally moved in this week!
Bought another KJ for a DD while building "Thunderstruck". An '04 (Red) w/JBA 4" Fox c/o lift, rear Bilsteins and 33×12.50/15's
Yes, I still have "Thunderstruck" and still getting it done, but .... pulling it out of the shop and am going to continue doing it myself! I dropped it off in February to a shop and told him I had a $25k budget, gave him 2k to start. Since February ..... he has pulled the engine and reinstalled it. That it!!!!!! 6 months and that's it!!!!!! He has parts sitting there! 6" JBA lift w/ adjustable coilovers, steel diff, 4.88's for front w/DTT, 4.88's and ARB for rear, rear 4 link truss, full custom dash ...... ITS ALL THERE!!!!!!!! IN ADDITION TO THE $25K !!!!!!!! He's pulled the engine and reinstalled it once! I'm bringing it home! Even I can work that fast!!!
Also just got ANOTHER KJ. This is an '03. Just a parts Jeep. Its all there, never been wrecked, just has a blown motor from overheating.
Guess everyone is up to date now. Hopefully it won't be 6 mos. before I get on lost again

she was only here a month and returned back home
had to go back to finish out her contract , my sons still here though, we're doing great and getting along really well

BY THE WAY KJ OWNERS IN OHIO ONLY
NO SHIPPING/ NO DELIVERY/ NO SPECIAL DISCOUNTS/ NO HAGGLING IF I DO THIS
RL front/ rear bumpers, rear had tire and can carrier
skids ( Matrix, Skid Row, Kilby , Mopar)
Front and rear 4.10 diffs , front diff with about 85,000, rear a little less
RL roof rack with LED light bar, one of only a very few made
RL rock rails, extra long were built custom for Troys rig
Moabs with worn 265-75-16s
leather front and rear seats
4 inch JBA adjustable suspension

OR mine the way it sits needing an engine for 6250
start adding up what the parts cost new and you'll have more than that so throwing a rust free body in for free
suspension and wheels would be last items sold if pieced out

all just might be available, depending on next few days

and if anyone thinks they can offer 2000 for it all, it'll look really good sitting down home using it as a chicken coop just the way it is :wink:

well this just keeps getting worse
paid for motor/trans/ etc
gets delivered, looks really good and clean / low mileage 2004
guy was suppose to install over two weeks ago
Grandma is in bad shape then dies, so can understand a few days off
Go back down to his garage today........
Its pad locked/ shut down ........
something happened alls kinds of tape across the doors with signs can't read from the road
Looks to be IRS, according to girlfriend hes locked up

SO looks like out that money,
can't sell parts from mine
can't buy another one
bicycle to the store just doesn't cut it any more :banghead:
