I like how it covers KJ, Jeep, "LOST", NE, and Liberty Owners Special Team, but it makes it really busy

One way to make the central portion less busy is to move the text outside of the circle, and flow the text around the perimeter. Possibly, you could flow on top "L.O.S.T.<cr>Liberty Owner Special Team" and below you could float "KJ JEEP" (one line).

Would you give this a go and see how it looks? Possibly then you could play around with the size of the central circle and maybe make it a little smaller now that you have opened up the center.

You could try a few variations of moving text outside, you don't have to move ALL the text outside in one go. It might be sufficient to move the "LOST ...." outside, I feel. If you do move the center "LOST ...." text outside, you have enough room to <b>possibly</b> rotate KJ and JEEP so they're flushed to the inner side of the circle, and offset at angle (say, KJ at 135 degrees, and Jeep at -135 degrees).

Great work! :D I love it already.

Cheers

Hey! I really like that ^. Is there any way to get authorization to use it as well as the one currently in use? Even if it wasn't official it would still look killer on a t-shirt.

First off, welcome!

The compass in this post I drew, and I'd love to see it used. You should also look through this this thread to see the revisions Don made (pixeldzn, pixeldecals.com, he's the one who does the new lost stickers). The single color with simple shapes might look better on a shirt.

I certainly wouldn't mind seeing it on a T-shirt, I just don't want it to be like, an iron on or inkjet job or anything, I'd like to see it done right. Certainly not cafepress or anything like that. You'd probably want to find a professional screenprinting place and get an idea from them of what they need and how it will look.

But then again, we have a pretty small section, so you'd have a tough time getting enough orders to make em. We do already have a T-shity with the rock-crawling logo that looks pretty good, ask pete (raceinfan) about that one.

Looks awesome Jeff! If I could make a suggestion to not be so busy it would be to get rid of Jeep and KJ and just leave Lost NE Liberty Owners Special Team I think it would look great! But I dont mind the busy I really like the compass!

(just as a side-note, this is a pretty old thread, so this is something we haven't looked at for probably 6 months or more)

I like the improvements Don made here: http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=2105

They really get what you're saying about the compass being too busy. Don's update has it down to a 1-color logo with simple block shapes that work better on stickers/t-shirts/etc than the more complex ones. Maybe that logo in an earthy brown on an earthy-green shirt?

If you guy's realy want it I'll have to get a hold of my T-shirt guy that did the other ones for us & it'll have to be a minimum of 24 orders most quality places won't do just a few or 1 & the logo would have to be put on disc for him plus there would be another set up charge for us & I realy don't think we'll get 24 orders for this, & not to be a ball buster but if you would like to get something done using our name LOST NorthEast PLEASE ask me first :)

Yeah, you're probably right about it being "to busy" for a shirt but it would definitely make a great sticker to go on tool boxes, windows, light posts, mail boxes, lunch boxes, suit cases, bike racks, kayaks, mountain bikes, etc. sorry I got a little excited.
I think a polo shirt would look good with L.O.S.T. KJ on the breast.
Oh, and I'll definitely ask before starting some rouge shirt making escapade.
