Hey everyone,

I am planning on investing in a set of ARP Head Studs for my KJ and wondered if these two kits were the same, or different. They both have the same model number and relative descriptions.

The one from idparts . com is listed here:
http://www.idparts.com/arp-head-stud-kit-ahu-1z-alh-p-3327.html (one set of 10) = $189.95+ cheapest shipping = ~$195.00
http://www.idparts.com/arp-head-stud-kit-liberty-crd-p-4044.html (two sets of 10) = $359.95+ cheapest shipping = ~$365.00

The one from amazon . com is listed here:
http://www.amazon.com/ARP-2044706-Diesel-Volkswagen-Engine/dp/B007FH8WNS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1444089108&sr=8-1&keywords=ARP+head+studs+204-4706 = $163.53 Free Prime shipping (for one set of 10) or $327.06 (for two sets of 10).

Any advantage to buying them from idparts vs amazon?

Anyone have any suggestions about why I should spend

They are the same and won't say either way to where to purchase.

Id parts has been awesome at stocking a lot of parts for our crd's and to me that is worth a little premium

ARP are a bunch of engineers, and don't really understand business the way that they understand fasteners. They don't want to offer ANY kind of volume discount or shop rate to a reseller, other than maybe a pittance of a discount off retail.

I don't know what the volume would be that would get their attention, but IDparts buys a LOT from them and can't really get much of any savings in the process. I for one am happy to buy all my CRD parts from them - I have 3 big boxes sitting here right now as it is - and they are the only place that I know of that caters to the CRD parts needs like I do for the labor.

Buy from those that support the community, it makes the world go round. :pepper: :JEEPIN:

ID looks after our needs pretty well and as these vehicles age their support becomes even more important. It's a shame no one has figured out that we don't actually need 20 of these and repackaged accordingly for our CRD.

Amazon? Well they've let me down a few times so I try to only use them only as a last resort.

Excellent points made all around.

Once I determine a few mechanical and financial things, I'll make a decision.

Thanks yall!

Sarma.
