Good Day,
I have an 06 Jeep CRD, Throwing a P0299 low boost code. I could really use some help. Has anyone ever encountered this problem: - It struggles to make RPM under no load, even at idle - Low Boost code on scanner even under no load condition
I have been working on this for months and have checked and/or repaired the following with no change to main complaint. I live in the Virgin Islands with no access to a certified Chrysler dealer to run diagnostic. WE have steep grade hills and the vehicle must make power starting on a hill. I bought the vehicle and had it shipped here. It had a multitude of diagnostic codes and running problems that I have worked through and repaired. The vehicle cannot be used at all in its current state.
The Following has been done: - Changed CAC hoses -Sasquatch stage 1 EGR delete and Green Diesel Eco Tune - Changed turbo Charger and actuator - Both vacuum control solenoids and vacuum modulator - Test and changed all Vacuum hoses and checked vacuum reservoir. Final INHG at vacuum modulator control outlet is 13 INHG -Changed timing belt, rocker arms, crank case vent bypass, new K&N intake, new accelerator peddle, inline electric fuel pump, fuel filter base & heater plugs upgraded, map sensor, fuel quantity solenoid, fuel pressure sensor, tank pick-up, fuses and relays, - Fuel Flow test- no air in line, - Checked harness for chafing behind fuel filter housing connections and grounds. -Installed manual boost gauge which shows 22lbs on flat road, but when encountering hills cannot calibrate for load and drops down between 0- 5lbs - Shows no heavy smoke or misfire - Problem persists regardless of stock or eco-tune - Leak down tested charge aircooler and intake system, intake manifold has been completely cleaned
