I think anyone pulling the injectors for any reason will find a flat reamer to be a huge time and back saver. Anyone know a good kit, or part number for one that is long enough (I'm seeing plenty out of Hong Kong that might work, but no length listed)? I guess I don't need a kit, but if it's cheap, why not?

Also, should help with leaks passed the crush washer...

17mm right?

Thanks to those who pioneered this venture!

usually , in this kit there are 2 flats 17 and 17x 19 step shoulder you can use either , i use 17 x 19 because washer is 17 and upper portion of injector cup is 19mm step size cup ok so thats why 17 x 19 step shoulder is better to use fits snug and not loose inside the cup , it jams up for first 2 turns but it goes only clockwise , keep turning don't turn backward , i say order one on line, tool is good and very cheap , its 100% guaranty no more carbon up there or ceased injectors. The place i bought mine does no sell it anymore. So i don't know the part number.

Thanks Rankom! Could you tell me how long your reamers are? I'm just afraid of ordering a set and not having the right thing. I mean, it's a ways down in the head.

Looks just like the one I have, and it works great.

I used a flat reamer made for reaming bathtub valve sealing surfaces. I first chucked the reamer into a drill and used light pressure and oil, and then cut disks of Scotch brite with a hole punch kit, and spun these with the reamer face via the drill to get the final finish on the washer sealing surface on the head. This worked well as I have no discernable leaks.

These are also available on Amazon. I think I'll order a set.

For the record I've always had good luck cleaning the seats with acetone and paper towel, and then using new crush washers. Sure is a lot of gunk to get outta there.
