Get yourself a provent CCV asap. 9k on my Libby and haven't had a single CEL.

Make sure you got the most current ECU flash. We had a flash done last week for the tranny and glow plugs and the tranny is SO MUCH SMOOTHER. My wife even noticed how much better her vehicles drives since the flash was done.

I just wish I could get my local dealer to do tsb's on my CRD. They won't do it unless there is a problem.

just under 20k no mods at all and the crd ate oil like crazy until I figured out to stop letting the dealer fill to the full line on the dip stick(during oil changes and in between during the oil consumption testing they started) and just add 6.4 quarts (This at 12K miles). It no longer eats oil and I have not had any CEL at all.... I'm just a little sure that some of the "oil bypass" hysteria is just that "hysteria".

What "oil bypass" are you talking about?

I think he is refering to the Provent or open vent mod. It will be interesting to see what mine does next. The dealer dumped my fresh 5W40 Rotella today to put in 0W40 to do an oil consumption test. The Provent is hooked-up and draining into a bottle and supposed to be getting fresh hoses. If what most claim is true, I should get a lot of 0W40 in the drain bottle. Will know quickly how much is getting past the turbo seals too.
