I have an '06 Liberty Ltd auto with 14,000 miles on it. It has the tow package and it's gonna need it as I will soon be hauling a 3300 lb trailer.
Recently, I have been noticing that the steering seems to be a little vague. Turn the steering wheel slightly and it seems to take just a tiny moment for the vehicle to respond to the input. A little more correction needed left and right sometimes to keep a straight path. These are really just impressions -- but I don't think I had these impressions at 10-11,000 miles. Only now.
Is this a "ball joint" symptom?

Check your tire pressure first.
