I just got a set of Hella 500 driving light... I am confused on the wiring diagram where I have to hook up a lead that goes from the rocker switch to 'connect to high beam' ...

just not sure exacly where they mean.

Thanks for the help.

well man, I do know that the head lights have 3 wirs going to them. I do know that the purple wire is your low beams.
Not sure with 2 of trhe remaining wires is going to the hi beams.

Here is a little start for you man.
I am sure some one else can be more of a help here.

sure, just wire them up straight to your battery. A relay of course is recommended so you don't have a massive amount of voltage going through a tiny switch in your car (read: FIRE hazard).

Or you could take the relay wire and got to the side marker lights instead of the headlights, then you would have your hellas whenever your markers are on (markers only, low beam, high beam) but they would cut off when the lights are off. I currently have mine wired to the high beams with no switch, but I'm looking at changing it since there are times when I want the hellas without having the high-beams on.

Thats what I did. I was afraid I would hit the switch on accident with the covers on which could possibly melt the covers on a hot sunny day. I then wired them to the park lights so that could only be on with the park lights on.

That wire it tells you to run to the high beams gopherbeats, wire it to either the park lights or the battery. I do not remeber if its + or -, purty sure it + since you said it goes to the switch.

You want to connect that wire to +. If you connect it to - it won't do anything.
