After 280k miles, wife upgraded into a new ride, now I can play with this rig. Have wanted the ESP-BAS to go away from day one, but it's highly integrated in the network. Understanding that, what if one was to create a bypass lie to the brake module and bcm. The transmission output signal could be tied into the wheel speed sensors at the brake module, eliminating the wheel speed sensors. Any thoughts?

Let’s face it, do you really need a speedometer?
I’m sure you can reasonably gauge your speed by watching the tach.
Or you could get a GPS speedo that sits on the dash.
Or just use a GPS speedometer app on your smartphone.

So, pull the ABS fuse, instal front and rear lockers, and go have fun.

Seriously, there is no magical wiring you can do.

Not worth the hassle for what it will take it’s an engineering level feat in the abs control module so for simplicity just hit the button

That's what I'm hoping to find out here. There seem to be some very smart people here tinkering with these. There has to be a way around this system, It would make a SFA build much nicer.

For the speedometer, I believe there are aftermarket speedos that can work off the trans output speed sensor. Don't know of anything that will work for the factory speedo.
For cruise control, pretty much SOL.

As with any good off-road build, compromises must be made.
Do you want to crawl over rocks or do you want it to drive comfortably on the street?
Cant have it both ways.

Also, don't forget to extend your rear brake lines so you don't rip one off when articulating.
