im ordering my wheels/tires/lift today.

im goin with extreme steel 15x8 and wanted to make sure that the correct backspacing i needed was 3.75,ive read around and was pretty sure thats what i needed. but i wanted to post something on here to make sure.

secondly,im ordering the rustys 2.5 suspension lift and was wondering if there was any future upgrades or mods i would need? i havent really looked at many aftermarket suspension parts except for the lifts.

thanks for your help.

I ordered some cragar soft 8s with 4" backspacing and They worked out really well. The stock rim backspacing is 5.5" i believe. I have the same lift on my kj that you ordered and after I installed it I would rub like all hell on the front sway bar near full lock. Thats when I go my new wheels and they gave me a lot more clearance and no more rubbing.

Be sure to get a couple of washers to pack in the between the upper rear shock mounts. The shocks rusty's send you are a little loose. Other than that you will love the lift. I have had mine on 6 months now and never a problem. Al's A-arms are in the future when I get back to the states.

I put the Cragars with 4" BS and had a little rub in the front until I put on the Frankenlift.

You may want to order some bumpstops for the rear for sure and maybe rig one up for the front to protest the UBJ. My Rusty's did not include them. Oh.. and shock boots.

AMEN!! Bad Ball joint!! Very bad! Why the bump stops? I did not put any on mine after the rusty's lift and hav eno issues even at the crazy angles i was gettin my kj?

Shock boots definetly!!!! I ordered yellow ones to match the new yellow front struts that come with the lift kit.

Nix the shock boots. They'll collect moisture under and start rust.

 I called Rusty's on the rear bumpstops and they seem to think that they are not needed unless you are going with something bigger than the 245s. So nix that too. With the fronts I was thinking of rigging a bumpstop similar to what the Frankenlift comes with. Something on the front coil where the UBJ comes into contact at full droop. Anybody done this?

Sorry for the Hijack.....
