So the job is done, I got a rear that looks like new inside, and out. I was changing the fluid with a suction pump, and was getting a little water in the fluid, so I pulled the pan, all is good inside, no metal. A lift in my shop made it all that much easier too.

That looked to be a very good find along with an exceptional low price for a whole axle assembly.
Hope you took advantage of the savings and upgraded the upper and lower control arms to the super heavy duty IronRock Control Arms. :D

Actually I was on the fence, looking for one local, and the seller lowered the price another $50, so shipping was twice the part in the end.
I bought some generic shocks, and coil overs, this old rusty jeep is not worth the money of high quality suspension in my book. But it is still fun to drive, and now I live on the unpaved back roads, it is great for that, and an occasional trail. I mainly want to keep it because going to town is 30 to 50 miles round trip, and I can keep the mileage off of my grocery getters.
