Hi Everyone,
Has anyone installed a PML Aluminum Transmission Pan with the SKIDROW Steel Transmission Skidplate???
I have a early 2002 Jeep Liberty KJ with a MOPAR replacement 3.7L V6 and factory 45RFE Auto Transmission.
I would like to order one of the several PML Aluminum Transmission Pans with a larger than stock fluid capacity, but I do not want the new pan to contact a SKIDROW Steel Transmission Skidplate. Has anyone had experience with this combination of aftermarket parts???
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I don't have the Skidrow skidplate, I made my own skidplate out of 3/16" flat plate steel. It is quite large, covers the transmission & transfer case.
When I upgraded my transmission pan to the PML deep sump oil pan, I had to add 2" spacers at the rear to clear the bottom of the oil pan.
You probably can do the same. The front attachment point was ok and cleared the oil pan, it is just the rear that had to be lowered.
I highly recommend the LubeLocker Oil Gasket to go with the PML aluminum deep sump oil pan.

NOTE: Both the gasket and PML oil pan fits the 45RFE transmission.

Quote:
PML 545RFE Transmission Deep Sump Oil Pan PN: 10304 (2 1/2 to 3 1/8 quarts over stock pan)
Fits Chrysler Dodge Jeep 68RFE, 66RFE, 65RFE, 545RFE, 45RFE Transmissions
LubeLocker Transmission pan Gasket LUB-LLT-CRFE

Shop around to find the best prices.
Summit Racing had one of the better prices on the LubeLocker gasket. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/lub-llt-crfe
