Hey guys and gals. Im bored over here in the desert right now and have been meaning to get on here and ask this question a little while ago. I put on a Rusty's coil lift bout six months ago. First time I went wheeling with the lift on I noticed a loud bang, clang noise when I would hit bumps at a certain angle/speed. It sounds like something hitting the front coil spring casue you can hear the reverb of the spring afterwards. I read up on here and have seen that some people actually have the upper a arm contact the spring at full droop. So I guess for those of you that had this problem is that kinda what it sounded like? Or anyone else have suggestions as to what it could be?

Yeah, that is what it sounds like. I'd bet my lunch that your A arm is contacting the spring in one of three places, at the ball joint connection and on each side of the arm branch to the body.

Keep your head down over there and hurry home. I'm looking forward to wheeling with you in the great state of North Kakalaki.

That's kinda what I was figuring after rading up on here just wanted some second opinions.

As for checkin my ball joint, can't really do that one right now but I am pretty sure I remember the driver side at least had a slight tear in the boot.

Don't worry Mutt My cranium is down and outta the way! 8) So how far away from Goldsboro you be? I have only been in the area for bout six months since I left for here and need to find some good place to "Play" at with the KJ.

So Al's a-arms come with the ball joint already installed? I might as well order them now so they will be there waiting fo rme when I get back?

I'm about three hours from Goldsboro, way up in the NorthEast part of the state, just below the Virginia border.

So you're from Pennsyltucky? LOL

Uwharrie National Forest, near Charlotte, is pretty nice. Also there is Upper Tellico on the NC, Tennessee, and Georgia border which is alleged to be the beast wheeling spot on the East Coast.
