Anyone have pics of the Graphite Metallic tail lamp guards? They're so much cheaper than the other colors, but I want to make sure it wont look terrible. thanks

I have a set sitting in my garage right now. I haven't been able to decide whether they will look too gaudy, or be ok.

They've been there for about two months now, maybe more.

well what i'm thinking is just ordering them up, then if i dont like the way they look, spray paint them black. sound like a good plan? i mean, the metallic graphite + a can of spray paint is still cheaper than the black ones....

I bought a set off of e-bay and spray painted them black. They look pretty good.

As an alternative to the factory guards, I grabbed these off of eBay. I'm pretty fond of the look. The only downside is that if I do end up using them, I'll have saved my tail lights at the cost of some body damage...

Tim,
What are those made of?
I think they look great.

I've been looking for some but I really want some type of metal. Nothing personal, I think they look great, but plastic is gonna break easily, then your tail lamps are next.

Not to worry, they're stainless steel. :D I got them for a really good price. I think the auction had a "Buy It Now" for around $130, but the guy made me a second chance offer for $60.

Thanks for the compliments!

DO NOT buy the Mopar plastic ones!! They are cr@p plastic. Held on with double stick tape which eventually lets go and they do nothing in the protection area. In fact, they will grab branches as you go down the trail! Bought em with mine & really wish I had paid twice the price for real metal ones!

Tghe metal one aren't going to protect the tail light lens anyu more than the plastic ones save maybe a tiny bump into something. If you hit it hard, you are screwed either way.
