Did you end up getting this model? If so where did you install it?

I put my radio shack one in between the driver seat and center council. It is a perfect fit. Sry i do not have pics because I do not know how to post pics on this forum.

I actually haven't got a CB just yet...saving funds for some belly armor for the KJ...but if I do get one I think I may have found a decent place to mount it underneath the driver's seat or passenger's seat....but those are tentative locations as of now...but then I found this nice place under the steering column too were that access panel folds down...i'd cut some it away so hten it sticks out a bit for adjusting purposes but it seems like it could work possibly...might have to fab up a mount for it, but that is no problem...

I thought about under-seat mounting, but I think you really want to be able to see the unit. You definitely want to be able to quickly reach for the volume and squealch knobs while driving. You'll find that the amount of noise changes a lot, and you can go from silent to earsplitting whitenoise once it crosses over that squelch point. I like the idea for the knee bolster on the drivers side. There's a lot of empty room in there that could hold a CB. Let us know what you come up with!

Sorry if I am hi jacking this but heres my CB setup

This is my Cobra 19DX IV rather cheap but works good. The radio itself is just mounted using the included bracket to the glove box. And the Mic uses its bracket to one of the trim peices.

Not the best fabrication but Im by no means a professional. So it ain't pretty but it gets the job done. Basicaly just one peice of angle iron with a joint cut out to bend it with a square patch welded on top to reenforce it. Mounts to the spare tire carrier using the existing hardware.

How did you go about wiring your antenna to your CB? Looks like oyu have it going thru the center console in the front and then under the rear seat and cargo area i suppose...

Really its quite a lazy way of doing it the wire goes from the mount under to under the tailgate. Then between the back seat split. Then just in between the center conscle and the passanger seat.

I didn't make much attempt to hide it only enough to keep my passangers from accidently tripping over it.
