I actually haven't got a CB just yet...saving funds for some belly armor for the KJ...but if I do get one I think I may have found a decent place to mount it underneath the driver's seat or passenger's seat....but those are tentative locations as of now...but then I found this nice place under the steering column too were that access panel folds down...i'd cut some it away so hten it sticks out a bit for adjusting purposes but it seems like it could work possibly...might have to fab up a mount for it, but that is no problem...
I thought about under-seat mounting, but I think you really want to be able to see the unit. You definitely want to be able to quickly reach for the volume and squealch knobs while driving. You'll find that the amount of noise changes a lot, and you can go from silent to earsplitting whitenoise once it crosses over that squelch point. I like the idea for the knee bolster on the drivers side. There's a lot of empty room in there that could hold a CB. Let us know what you come up with!
