This is my CRD loaded with about 200kgs of kit on the rack, this rack is strong enough to wall on an only weighs about 25kgs. Its made by African Out Back.

Ummm... I am un amuricun, so I used google to convert your fancy pants metric stuff...

200 kilograms == 440.924 pounds. Wow. Nice....

Thats it loaded to it max they say it can take a bit more but it was bowing a little so id say thats the maxum it can safely handle.
But you cant believe how strong it is.

The funny thing is i stayed in York PA for almost 2 years (the first capital of the USA) and got so into the hang of the imperial system that when i came back home my metric system was out the window! :lol:

Its ruffly x2.2 so 200kgs X 2.2 = 440 pounds
and 1km will be X 60% will give you 1 US mile so a 160Km/h is MPH

Does the surco basket need additional cross bars, or will it fit on my sport with the factory long rails?It shows what appear to be cross bars, but are those integrated into the basket itself? Also, from summit racing, do I need a fit kit/bracket that they sell?
Thankyou,
Steve :?: :oops: :o

I am definitely looking at the African Outback...going to put a roof top tent on mine eventually and that will be just right. So much lower than most racks that mount on rails too. Kewl thing is that they have sides that can be added that are also short. All sorts of attachements, ect..
