Blue oval news reports on all the automotive industry, they don't make the news, they only report it. A lot od thier articles comes from the Detroit freepress and other newspapers and sources. When they report an article, they link you with it's original source to read the original article, douting Tomas ha ha.
I read 2 articles alittle while ago on the new bronco, 1) was in ford world, a retiree newspaper my dad gets every month from ford, the other was either truck trend, or one of my offroad mags, fourwheel-offroad or one of them, I get 5. Any way the bronco is a go, it will look sorta like the concept (retro), but the concept was a hoax, it was on an escape platform ft-wd with a diesel. The real bronco will have solid frt and rear axles, a hose out floor and removable top, didn't say what engines, but the diesel from the concept would be nice, It's to go head to head with the wrangler. I had a 75 bronco, it was one of the toughest 4x4's that I ever owned, it had a v8, a 9" rear, dana 44 frontend, but the bodies rusted out easy. 4 of the toughest and funest 4x4's ever made were the cj-5, cj-7, bronco and scout. I know the new wranglers have more advancements blah blah blah, but the old ones were just fun, rugged, uncomplicated and could take a thrashing, even the flat fenders with 60 hp were awesome, and still are if your lucky enough to get one. But for offroad ability and comfort, it's hard to beat the liberty in my opinion. I don't want to be a gossip, but there's even been rumors that international was thinking about bringing the scout back, that would be cool. As for me, I've allways had a jeep of one sort or another in my stable along with my fords and Lord willing, that will never change. As long as there's a jeep to be bought, and I have money, I will own one. O f course in a perfect world, a jeep, bronco and scout setting in my driveway would work for me. I have never owned a square head lighted wrangler yet, I want that to be my next project and toy when I find the right one at the right price, in the mean time I gotta toughen up the kj, the ranger is close to being done, if a vehicle is ever really done ha ha.
