What do you mean no loaner???? They are required to provide a loaner per the F37 procedure. The last dealer I went to would not provide a loaner for the ball joint recall/18-023-06 update after they trashed my TCM. I'll never go to them again. Found a dealer I will be adding to the "excellent service" thread shortly.
Well, I'm logging in to vent again as I need to get this off my chest before I run my other vehicle through the service departments front door out of frustration.
I have lost complete trust in my, and all other Jeep, service departments and so I decided to call back this evening just before close and talk to a different service advisor. He said they never even started working on my jeep, they have had the parts in all day, but the tech could not get to it.
WILL SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME THE PURPOSE OF SETTING UP THIS APPOINTMENT A WEEK AHEAD OF TIME? Supposedly to have the parts pre-ordered and ready to go, AND a technician ready to go? 2 days sitting at the dealership for nothing and now they are closed for the weekend - so 4 days of hardship when I could of had my Jeep to use!
I complained to the actual head of the service department about the fact the F37 actually states I should be given a loaner so he offers one for two days, but it will have to be back Monday morning, first thing!!! WTF!!! They have not even started working on it but they want the loaner back!!!
I told him to keep it and they can deliver it to my house Monday morning as I'm not coming back - they grudgingly agreed - of course I have no faith this will actually happen Monday, nor that my Jeep will be done on Monday.
This happened to me last time - I made an appointment a week ahead of time to get a reflash done and it sat there all day and had to stay overnight because they were too busy to get to that, too! Again, the purpose of setting an appointment a full week ahead of time for an exact day and early morning time dropoff - for what???
The F-ing point here is all these a-holes do this all over the country - they want to book the work on a schedule as guaranteed work for them, but then they never actually read the recall to know they are supposed to order parts ahead of time - and in my case, they flat out lied and said they had parts in stock, ready to go, on December 1 - well ahead of my appointment. bleepity-blank-blank-bleepers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! frick-n-frack suck-a AS;LVGH[QREGVBGW;Skdvb
